Bright Night

This panoramic image features a huge fire and its smoke cloud, with flames reaching up to 100 meters high and the smoke cloud stretching several kilometers wide.
The fire happened in Hamburg-Harburg/Germany on January 2nd when a depot filled with about 2.000 tons of caoutchouc/natural rubber, about 10.000 litres of oil and some gas bottles caught on fire. The 3.000 square meters large depot burned down completely, it took about 24 hours for the fire to be extinguished. Luckily no people were injured from the fire.
The photo is taken from a distance of about 1 kilometer to the flames.
Also shown in the photo is the "Alte Harburger Elbbrücke", a bridge opened in 1899 by Kaiser Wilhelm II. The river is the southern arm of the river Elbe, the photograph is taken from the Island Wilhelmsburg.
